Hire me as a director
Comedy director for commercials and branded series in New York
I direct comedy for brands: dialogue spots, improv, sketch-shaped series and the occasional music video shot on a phone. My favorite day on set is when an actor finds a line better than mine and I get to pretend I planned it.
I’ll take your script or write one. I cast for timing and leave room for improv. Then I stay through the edit, because I don’t trust anyone else with the pause before the punchline.

How hiring works
Through your production company, through your agency or directly. In New York I can shoot with my own kit. Outside New York I work with your crew or a local DP.
Do you direct scripts you didn’t write?
Yes. I’ll also tell you which jokes I’d fight for.
Do you travel?
New York first. I’ll fly for something great, or when a brand outside the US needs someone who knows what makes Americans laugh.
